9.61

tulyarūpam asitotpalam akṣṇoḥ karṇagaṃ nirupakāri viditvā
yoṣitaḥ suhṛd iva pravibheje lambhitekṣaṇarucir madarāgaḥ //

Knowing the dark lotus worn at the ear, though like in beauty, / to be useless to her eyes, / the flush of intoxication, like a dear friend, / shared itself out to the woman, imparting brilliance to her gaze.
