yiyāsatastasya mahīdharandhrabhidapaṭīyānpaṭahapraṇādaḥ /
jalāntarāṇīva mahārṇavaughaḥ śaśabdāntarāṇyantarāyāñcakāra //

As he desired to depart, the mighty sound of kettle-drums, / piercing the clefts of the mountains, / blocked out all other sounds, / just as the swelling of the great ocean engulfs the waters within it.
