putrīyatā tena varā'ṅganābhi- rānāyi vidvān kratuṣu kriyāvān
vipaktrima-jñāna-gatir manasvī mānyo muniḥ svāṃ puramṛṣya śṛṅgaḥ

Desiring sons, he had the wise, venerable sage Ṛṣyaśṛṅga—active in sacrifices, / whose path of knowledge had reached perfection, and resolute of mind—brought to his city by choice courtesans.
