Bhaṭṭikāvya 1.23

1.23

krudhyan kulaṃ dhakṣyati vipra-vahnir, yāsyan sutas tapsyati māṃ sa-manyum,
itthaṃ nṛpaḥ pūrvamavāluloce, tato'nujajñe gamanaṃ sutasya.

'If angered, the Brahman-fire will burn the family; if he departs, my son will torment me with grief'— / thus the king reflected first, and then consented to the departure of his son.
