vilulita-puṣpa-reṇu-kapiśaṃ praśānta-kalikā-palāśa-kusumaṃ kusuma-nipāta-vicitra-vasudhaṃ sa-śabda-nipatad drumotka-śakunam
śakuna-nināda-nādi-kakub vilola-vipalāyamāna-hariṇaṃ hariṇa-vilocanā'dhivasatiṃ babhañja pavanā''tmajo ripu-vanam.

brown with shaken flower-pollen, its buds and leaves and blooms crushed, / its ground variegated by fallen flowers, / its birds eager for trees that fell with a crash, / its directions resounding with bird cries, / its deer running wildly away— / the son of the wind destroyed the enemy's grove, the abode of the deer-eyed [Sītā].
