Having slain delusion with the sword of sound, O Mother, you go to that abode of light; / by what dweller of the sky are you not praised? (57) / O Mother, Mother! By what dweller of the sky, by what sky-abiding god, are you—possessing the nature to be described—not praised? The meaning is: you are praised by all the gods. Who are you? You who, having slain, destroyed terrible ignorance with the sword of sound—with the unmanifest sound (anāhata)—go to your own realm of light, an abode consisting of the luminous quality of purity (sattva). And so it has been said: 'In the unstruck sound, when the ear is attentive, when broken sound is dissolved in the stream: one proficient in the sound-Brahman attains the supreme Brahman.' (57)
