O good Mother, with unwaning light, whose noble mind is assumed for protection,
you, the mother of fortitude, protect the establishments of conduct and virtue among people. // 91
O good Mother, O gracious progenitor, you protect the establishments—the stabilities—of the conduct, policy, and virtuous deeds of human beings. For through the grace of knowledge, stability arises in the conduct and virtues of people. Conduct [nīti] is activity that does not transgress the path of the treatises; virtues are patience and the like. What kind of woman are you? One by whom a great, noble mind has been assumed through the protection of everlasting light—meaning, you whose nature is imperishable radiance. And so [you are] the mother of fortitude: from whom arises the unagitated state of endurance. // 91
