May that Gaurī, the daughter of the mountain, always, continually protect, guard you. Conquering the toil of Yama: she overcomes, subdues the toil, the torment wrought by the Finisher for the host of bowed people. Who, being the compassionate mother, always, at all times, destroys the clinging mass of grief of her devotees themselves: she fells, completely extinguishes those sluggish states born of grief, arisen from distress, which cling and adhere.
