O Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya, accompanied by Sanātana and Rūpa, / reached by Gopāla and Raghunātha, beloved of Vraja, protect me! ||1
He who is called Nandanandana, who increases the joy of the three worlds, / and who is the husband of the cowherd women perfected through beginningless births; ||2
To Him who is dark like a fresh raincloud, whose eyes are like lotuses, / the joy of the cowherd woman [Yaśodā], to Kṛṣṇa in the form of Gopāla, I offer praise. ||3
[Pair]
In the forest of Vṛndāvana, an aging Jīva said to his mind: / “Fool, you are dying now; drink this hidden nectar! ||4
Drinking it, O my mind, think of yourself as having reached Gokula, / and according to different spiritual emotions cultivate some desired service! ||5
May the auspicious son of the cowherd king [Nanda], the beloved of the cowherd women, / protect [us], causing good fortune to sprout for all the worlds! ||6
He whose glory begins with 'Ah, the she-demon Baki [Pūtanā]...', who is the Supreme Lord Himself, / and who, to cause wonder, acted toward him with fatherhood and the like; ||7
He who was praised with 'Ah, what great fortune!' and likewise 'Thus, of the virtuous...', / and Vraja [praised with] 'Neither Viriñca [Brahmā]...' and likewise 'Not [the goddess] Śrī...'; ||8
What man possessing senses on this earth would not take refuge in Him? / Therefore, O brother, my own savior, O mind, O inner heart, take refuge in Him!” ||9
[Syntactic group of three verses]
O mind, heed my instruction which has the form of a proper place; / may this resolve become a wish-fulfilling tree, bearing streams of nectar. ||10
