17.9

[ādim ārabhya mahā-kulakam]
sa ca janaka-mukhān nirīkṣya
śuṣkān svadṛg-amṛtena siñcati sma |
pulaka-kula-miṣād yathāṅkurāṇāṃ
tatim adadhur bata te'pi gopavṛkṣāḥ ||267||

[Beginning from here, a great syntactic group of verses]
And beholding the faces of His father and the others, / dried up, He sprinkled them with the nectar of His glance; / under the pretext of horripilation, alas, those trees of cowherds / also bore an array of sprouts.
