aṅgāni brāhmaṇānāmuṣasi himabharāsaṅgato bhaṅgurāṇi vyālakṣya drākprapātā ripujanitaruṣevāruṇā vāsavāśām /
dharmadhvaṃsoddhurāṇāmakhilamapi kulaṃ jakṣataḥ śobhitakṣmā yakṣmāṇaṃ me harantu tvaritamaghabhido bhānavaścaṇḍabhānoḥ //
Perceiving at dawn the limbs of the brāhmaṇas brittle from the clinging weight of frost,
swiftly swooping down upon Indra's quarter as if reddened with fury toward a foe;
consuming the whole brood of those intent on destroying dharma, beautifying the earth:
may the rays of the fierce-rayed Sun, shatterers of sin, swiftly take away my consumption.
