sā tvaṃ śāsanamāsthāya mama dharmabhṛtāṃ vare |
sañjīvaya prajāḥ sarvāḥ samarthā hyasi dhāraṇe ||

The Sūta said:
“What was asked by Janamejaya, the pupil of wise Vyāsa, / knowing dharma, recounted in full detail regarding their family, / that I shall declare to you: the lineage of the Vṛṣṇis from the beginning.”
