vidyuto 'śanimeghāṃś ca rohitendradhanūṃsi ca
sanaś ca yogatattvajñaṃ sanakaṃ ca sanandanam |
ete sapta samākhyātā ṛṣayaḥ saṃśitavratāḥ |
yādāṃsi ca sasarjādau parjanyaṃ ca sasarja ha //

Lightnings, thunder-clouds, red rainbows, / and Sana, who knows the reality of yoga, and Sanaka and Sanandana— / these are declared the seven seers of sharpened vows; / and he emitted aquatic creatures in the beginning, and he emitted the rain-cloud.
