sāgareṇa tathety ukte prasthitāḥ sma jalena vai
stambhitena yathā bhūmau maṇivarṇena bhāsvatā //
When the ocean said, 'So be it,' we set forth indeed across the water / that had been congealed as though on dry ground, radiant with the hue of gems.
