kṛtāgā na sa śocyas tu vayaṃ tv adya vinākṛtāḥ
viprayogena nāthasya kṛtāntavaśagāḥ kṛtāḥ //
He who committed the transgression is not to be pitied; but we today, deprived, / separated from our lord, have been brought under the power of Death!'
