janamejaya uvāca
nivṛttāv aśvamedhasya vipraśāpāgnitejasā
ahaṃ nimittaṃ iti ced bhayaṃ tīvraṃ ca jāyate //
Janamejaya said:
If I am the cause of the cessation of the horse sacrifice
through the fiery splendor of a brahmin's curse, severe fear arises in me.
