akṛtāgrāṇi bhokṣyanti narāś caivāgnihotriṇaḥ
bhikṣāṃ balim adattvā ca bhokṣyanti puruṣāḥ svayam //
Men who are maintainers of sacred fires will eat without offering the first portions;
and men will eat by themselves without giving alms or offerings.
