2.22

sa dhanvī kavacī jātas tejasā nirdahann iva
baddhagodhāṅgulitravān |
prajārakṣākṛtotsāhaḥ |
pṛthur vainyas tadā cemāṃ rarakṣa kṣatrapūrvajaḥ //

He was born armed with bow and armor, as if burning with brilliance,
wearing bracers of monitor lizard skin and finger-guards,
zealous in protecting his subjects;
and then Pṛthu, son of Vena, the first ancestor of kṣatriyas, protected this earth.
