madhor jajñe tu vaidarbhyāṃ purutvān puruṣottamaḥ
putro maruvasas tathā |
āsīn maruvasaḥ putraḥ |
mātā jajñe 'tha vaidarbhyāṃ bhadravatyāṃ kurūdvaha //

From Madhu, however, by the daughter of Vidarbha was born Purutvat, the best of men; / and Maruvasa was likewise his son. / Maruvasa had a son; / and then, O scion of Kuru, a mother was born from the daughter of Vidarbha, Bhadravatī.
