tau pāśaśuklāṃśudharau varuṇendū mahāraṇe
jaghnatur himapātaiś ca pāśapātaiś ca dānavān //
Those two, bearing the noose and the white rays, Varuṇa and the moon, in the great battle, / struck down the Dānavas with descents of snow and falls of nooses.
