vaivasvataṃ pitṝṇāṃ ca yamaṃ rājye 'bhyaṣecayat
mātṝṇāṃ ca vratānāṃ ca mantrāṇāṃ ca tathā gavām |
yakṣāṇāṃ rākṣasānāṃ ca pārthivānāṃ tathaiva ca //

and he consecrated Vaivasvata Yama in sovereignty over the ancestors,
and [overlords] of mothers, vows, mantras, and cows,
of yakṣas and rākṣasas, and of earthly lords as well,
