prathamād eva hantavyā garbhās te sarva eva hi
mūlād eva hi hantavyaḥ so 'nartho yatra saṃśayaḥ //
All those embryos must be killed from the very first; / for an impending misfortune about which there is doubt should be destroyed at the very root.
