ājīvo yaḥ paras teṣāṃ gopatvaṃ ca yataḥ smṛtam
tā gāvaḥ saptarātreṇa pīḍyantāṃ vṛṣṭimārutaiḥ //
Their supreme livelihood, on account of which they are called 'cowherds'— / let those cows be afflicted for seven nights with rains and winds!
