caturdaśaite manavaḥ kīrtitāḥ kīrtivardhanāḥ
vedeṣu sapurāṇeṣu sarve te prabhaviṣṇavaḥ
prajānāṃ patayo rājan dhanyam eṣāṃ prakīrtanam //
These fourteen Manus have been recited, enhancers of fame; / in the Vedas together with the Purāṇas, all of them are mighty / lords of creatures, O king; reciting them brings fortune.
