7.52
saśeṣās tatra tiṣṭhanti devā brahmarṣibhiḥ saha
tapasā brahmacaryeṇa śrutena ca samanvitāḥ
pūrṇe yugasahasre tu kalpo niḥśeṣa ucyate //
The gods remain there with a remainder, together with the brahmin seers, / endowed with ascetic heat, chaste studentship, and sacred learning; / but when a thousand yugas are completed, the kalpa is said to be without remainder.
