sthāne bhārapariśrāntā vasudheyaṃ divaṃ gatā
eṣāṃ nṛpatimukhyānāṃ balaughair abhipīḍitā
bhūmir nirantarā ceyaṃ balarāṣṭrābhisaṃvṛtā //
Fittingly, this earth, wearied under her burden, went to heaven; / oppressed by the floods of troops belonging to these foremost kings, / this earth has become continuous, covered with armies and realms.
