yudhiṣṭhireṇaivamukto bhīṣmaḥ śāṃtanavastadā |
imaṃ śrāddhavidhiṃ kṛtsnaṃ pravaktumupacakrame || 2 ||
"Vaisampayana continued, 'Thus addressed by Yudhishthira, the son of Santanu set himself to declare unto him the following ritual, consistent with the ordinance of the Sraddha.'
