ṛṣaya ūcuḥ |
sarva eva kṣudhārtāḥ sma na cānyatkiṃcidasti naḥ |
bhavatyāḥ saṃmate sarve gṛhṇīmahi bisānyuta || 22 ||
'The Rishis said, 'All of us are hungry. We have nothing else to eat. With thy permission we would gather some lotus-stalks!'"
