A man who has turned his back on dharma, though powerful, is devoid of power; though rich, is poor; and though well-versed in the scriptures, is a fool.
He who does not cure the disease of hell (sin) in this very world—having arrived at the place devoid of medicine (the other world), what will that sick man do? He who understands old age, death, fear, and disease is a wise man, whether he remains healthy or lies down, whether he sleeps or laughs with anyone.
