Bhoja was also the name of more than one individual. One was Bhoja, king of Vidarbha, whose date is accepted as the eleventh century (1005–1054). He is regarded as the composer of the Rāmāyaṇacampū. The second Bhoja was also an eleventh-century king, whose capital was Dhārānagarī. It is said that he was an extraordinary connoisseur of poetry and a king who honored scholars. It was probably this Bhoja who was a theorist of poetics, and the Sarasvatīkaṇṭhābharaṇa, Śṛṅgāraprakāśa, and Samarāṅgaṇasūtradhāra are his works. It is also believed that this Bhoja was the nephew of King Muñja of Dhārā, who was himself a great lover of the arts and a connoisseur. Muñja was called 'Pṛthvīvallabha' ('Beloved of the Earth'). A discussion of the thrilling love story of King Tailapa's sister Mṛṇālavatī and Muñja is found in Apabhraṃśa verses.
