annaṃ vidhātrā vihitaṃ martyānāṃ jīvadhāraṇam;
tad anādṛtya matimān prārthayen na tu kiṃcana. || 14 ||

Food has been ordained by the Creator as the sustenance of life for mortals;
having disregarded that, a wise man should ask for nothing else.
