1.35

vahati bhuvana-śreṇiṃ śeṣaḥ phaṇāphalaka-sthitāṃ
kamaṭha-patinā madhye-pṛṣṭhaṃ sadā sa ca dhāryate |
tam api kurute kroḍādhīnaṃ payodhir anādarād
ahaha mahatāṃ niḥsīmānaś caritra-vibhūtayaḥ ||

Śeṣa bears the succession of worlds resting upon his hood-plates; / and he is constantly supported on the middle of his back by the king of tortoises; / the ocean carelessly takes even him into its embrace: / ah, boundless are the manifestations of the conduct of the great!
