A man remains on the good path, he has mastery over his senses, / he displays shame, and he maintains humility— / only until these glance-arrows of playful women, released from the bow of the eyebrows, / reaching as far as the ear and tipped with black lashes, do not fall upon his heart, stealing his steadfastness.
