acirāt parātmaniṣṭhā bhavati yatastatkriyeta catureṇa kleśen kāmadamanaṃ dhigekadārañjayantamātmānam //

Since devotion to the supreme Self occurs in a short time, that should be accomplished by the clever person; / cursed be the soul that satisfies itself only in a single wife through the torment of subduing desire!
