akṛtasyāgamo nāsti kṛte nāśo na vidyate /
akasmādeva loko'yaṃ tṛṣṇe dāsīkṛtastvayā //

There is no arrival of what was not done, nor is there destruction of what was done; / without any cause, O craving, has this world been enslaved by you.
