virasapurīṣagaṃdhaparivāsitavāṃtarasānsamaṃtataḥ .
pibati vibhinnapārśvaghaṭavatkuṇapoṃ'buyuto ghaṭasthitaḥ .
abhihitasaptamāsatastadanaṃtaramutpalanālasaṃnibhaṃ .
bhavati hi nābhisūtramamunā tata uttaramaśnute rasān .. 56 ..

it drinks on all sides the vomited juices scented with the odor of foul feces,
like a corpse with water remaining inside a jar with broken sides;
after the stated seventh month, there comes to be an umbilical cord resembling a lotus stalk;
from then on, it consumes the nutrients through this. // 56
