kaṭukīyā hi kecit syānmadhurīyāstathā'pare
mṛdu tasmai upakrāmyaṃstīkṣṇamapyalpamācaret
For some may be inclined to pungency, while others are inclined to sweetness; / approaching him with mild [measures], one should employ sharp [measures] only in small amounts.
