tadūrdhve ṛtau śoṣakaṃ tadanantaramapi śoṣakarasāḥ garbhābhivardhakā yāvatkālopayogyāḥ
In the fertile period above that, [substances] are desiccating; even subsequent to that, desiccating tastes promote the growth of the fetus and are to be used according to the time.
