(grahaṇīpāṇḍuhṛtkāsaśvāsahṛtparamaṃ hitaṃ /)
karpūra (karkandhu) dārusaṃbhūtataptam uṣṇodakaṃ śubham (nādeyam udakottamam /)
jaṭharāgneś ca sadanaṃ suśrutena pradarśitam // 10 //

River water heated with karkandhu wood is hot and auspicious; / it cures duodenal disease, anaemia, cough, and asthma, and brings about the kindling of the gastric fire, as shown by Suśruta.
