kailāse yadi takram asti giriśaḥ kiṃ nīlaṇṭho bhavet
vaikuṇṭhe yadi kṛṣṇatām anubhaved adyāpi kiṃ keśavaḥ /
indro durbhagatābhayād vijayati (tāṃ kṣayaṃ dvijapatiḥ) lambodaratvaṃ gaṇaḥ
kuṣṭhitvaṃ ca kuberako dahanatām agniś ca divyasti cet // 23 //
If takra existed on Kailāsa, would the Mountain-Lord have a blue neck? / If it were in Vaikuṇṭha, would Keśava even today endure darkness of skin? / Would Indra conquer out of fear of misfortune? Would the moon suffer consumption? Would the Gaṇa have a pot-belly, / Kubera have leprosy, and fire possess burning heat, if this divine [takra] existed? // 23
