cākṣuṣyaṃ vṛṣyam āyusmṛtidhṛtikaraṇaṃ rājayakṣmāprakopaṃ [vināśaṃ]
[rūkṣe kṣīṇe ca pathyaṃ valipalitaharaṃ sāmadoṣaprakope /]
bhūtonmādapramatte bahutimiramade kṛtpapaśrīra [syād apasmāra] hāri
sarveṣāṃ sarvadaiva prathitaguṇagaṇaṃ sādhu pathyaṃ ghṛtaṃ syāt // 17 //

It is beneficial to the eyes, aphrodisiac, a maker of longevity, memory, and resolve, [destroying] aggravation of tuberculosis, / [wholesome in dryness and emaciation, and removing wrinkles and gray hair in the aggravation of humours with ama;] / it removes affliction by spirits, madness, delusion, severe timira, intoxication, and [epilepsy]. / For everyone at all times, possessing a praised collection of qualities, ghee is truly wholesome.
