kaupaṃ jalaṃ ca tṛṣṇāghnaṃ śramaghnaṃ prītivardhanam /
(ānūpaṃ śleṣmalaṃ proktaṃ medodoṣavivardhanam /)
dīpanaṃ svādu śītaṃ ca toyaṃ sādhāraṇaṃ laghu // 38 //

Well-water dispels thirst, dispels fatigue, and increases pleasure; / water from a marshy region is stated to increase śleṣman and augment adipose disorders; / water from an intermediate region is digestion-kindling, sweet, cold, and light. // 38
