tac cāvyaktarasaṃ himaṃ laghutaraṃ gharmāṃbu mūrchāpahaṃ
ṛṣlo (?) ṣmātapa (tṛṭśleṣmāmaya) mohahaṃ śramaharaṃ tandrātinidrāpahaṃ
hṛdyaṃ svādu vicitradaṃ smṛtikaraṃ dāhaughavicchedi? (danaṃ)
itthaṃ deham alāyuṣor dhṛtikaraṃ saṃjīvanaṃ jīvanam // 41 //

And that summer water, unmanifest in taste, cold, very light, dispels fainting; / it removes thirst, disorders of śleṣman, and delusion caused by heat and sun; it dispels fatigue, drowsiness, and excessive sleep; / it is cardiotonic, sweet, granting marvels, enhancing memory, cutting through masses of burning sensation; / thus it sustains the body and longevity, imparting life—a true life-giver. // 41
