dāḍimaṃ dvividham īḍitabhāryair amlam ekam aparaṃ maduraṃ ca /
tatra vātakaphahāri kilāmlaṃ tāpahāri madhuraṃ laghu pathyam // 4 //

Pomegranate is said by praised teachers to be of two kinds: one is sour, and the other is sweet. / Among these, the sour one indeed takes away vāta and kapha; the sweet one removes feverish heat, is light, and wholesome. // 4
