kṣudhāsaṃśuṣkahṛtkaṇṭhaḥ prathamaṃ kabalān bahūn /
na bhukte prapibed ambu śītalaṃ mātrayā yutam // 71 //

One whose throat and chest are parched with hunger should not, before eating, / swallow many mouthfuls [of food]; he should drink cold water in proper measure. // 71
