śivabījaṃ sūtarājaḥ pāradaśca rasendrakaḥ /
etāni rasanāmāni tathānyāni śive yathā //

Śiva's seed, the king of quicksilver, mercury, and the lord of rasas—
these are the names of mercury, as well as others [applied to it] just as to Śiva.
