vipro rasāyane proktaḥ kṣatriyo roganāśane /
vādādau vaiśyajātīyo vayaḥstambhe turīyakaḥ //
The Brahmin [diamond] is prescribed for rejuvenation, the Kṣatriya for destroying diseases, / that of the Vaiśya caste for transmutational alchemy and the like, and the fourth for arrest of ageing.
