6.5

mātrādhikaṃ na seveta rasaṃ vā viṣam auṣadham /
tryādhibaddhaṃ ca koṣṭhaṃ ca vīkṣya mātrāṃ prayojayet //

One should not consume mercury or poisonous medicine in excess of the dosage;
having examined whether the digestive tract is bound by three humours, one should apply the dose
