pañcarātraṃ baliṃ tasyai vāruṇyāṃ diśi nikṣipet /
saptame divase māse varṣe śuṣkāśivā śiśum //

One should throw an offering to her for five nights in the western direction. / On the seventh day, month, or year, Śuṣkāśivā seizes the child;
