And for the production of gold, purified sulphur is indeed to be calcined-and-digested. / Just as the calcination-digestion of iron-lustre amalgam [is performed], so also the calcination-digestion of gold amalgam is to be understood, / [namely] eight times [the weight of] mercury; and the rest is clear. / Thus ends the fourth [process], the calcination-digestion of gold amalgam for mercury that has digested iron-lustre amalgam.
